Character Illustration: The Dancer (Work-in Progress)
An character and Illustration based on my own concept and design, started during my CG Verse mentorship with artist Edward Chee. Although I received very little feedback on this design, I put into practice everything I was taught, and have continued to try to push myself to live up to the standards that I met during the mentorship.
Progress update. Still trying to get this one finished and up to snuff.
Illustrated test composition with rough background composed in Blender, painted in Photoshop. Just playing around with the character's personality.

Progress update. I adjusted the pose, redid the garments, and started trying to just generally make things look cleaner so I can move forward more confidently.
Felt like it was getting too dark so lightened the figure and reduced the contrast to regain some visibility. Next up: re-sharpening the render by hand!
Fixed the face. Back on track.
